Purposes of processing: The purpose of collecting data and information about the interested party is the following:
(i) Participation in the study, tests and trials in which the interested party who has been selected for this purpose appears, to manage and develop their participation, as well as the results of the study, tests and trials within the framework of the project.
Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV), will never will not transfer or publish personal data that may identify participants without their consent. All data will be treated confidentially and anonymously. The data will be anonymized or pseudonymized for participation in studies, tests and trials in order to ensure confidentiality.
In the case of a study, test or trial in which data that may identify the participant is needed, the participant will be informed in advance and in detail, and their express and unequivocal consent will be requested through the informed consent for their participation, which will always be voluntary.
These could be the following cases, in which you will always be informed and your informed, express and unequivocal consent will be requested:
- Capturing and recording identifiable voices and images of the interested party when the project so requires, through scanning, audiovisual systems and/or photographs taken during the development of the study, tests and trials in which they participate, which will be stored in the IBV systems for study, consultation and research purposes.
- Disclosure or publication of the results of analyses, tests, studies or trials in which the participant participates and which cannot be anonymised for technical and/or image reasons.
- Personal identifying data such as age, weight, height, sex, nationality (because it is necessary for physiognomy reasons depending on their origin) or any other data that allows the interested party to be identified may be processed, as well as health data provided by the participant, both those in their registration profile and those provided on the day of the specific study, project or trial in which they participate, as established in the information or particular conditions of the project.
Participation may be rewarded if this is included in the particular conditions of the project and will always be voluntary.
The interested party who, after selection, participates in the studies, tests and trials, will be informed in advance of the details, conditions of the project and data subject to processing, as well as whether or not they will be anonymised, through an informed consent, which must be signed by the participant authorizing the processing of their data, as well as their reward, if applicable, and which can be withdrawn from the study at any time.
Legal basis of the treatment: The legal basis of the data processing is the contract entered into and the express and unequivocal consent of the interested party expressed through the acceptance of this document to authorize the processing of their data (including segmentation and automated profiling) as stated above by IBV, as well as compliance with legal obligations in the event that the representation of third parties must be accredited.
The legal basis of the treatment, in its operation of conservation, consultation or use of data is the legitimate interest of attending to the legitimate purposes of the IBV and which are summarized in the attention to technological knowledge and its application for the development and strengthening of the competitive capacity of companies in the field of technology and innovation through the promotion and practice of fundamental and industrial scientific research, experimental development and the dissemination of the results of the same through training, publication and technology transfer, in the areas covered by Biomechanics.
The legal basis is compliance with legal obligations when communicating to third parties due to legal imperative or conservation while responsibilities can be demanded.
Data recipients: The data provided by the interested party included in the database of people interested in collaborating in IBV studies will not be communicated to third parties except under legal obligation, and in the event that it is necessary to use the data with third parties, it will be done in a pseudonymous or anonymized manner to guarantee confidentiality.
In the event that you participate in studies, tests and trials for IBV projects, the categories of recipients may be third parties related to the IBV and always within the scientific and research field and informative publications within the framework of the project, always in a completely anonymous manner that will not allow the identification of the participating person, and in the case that they are identifiable data because the study of the project so requires, it will always be under the informed and unequivocal consent of the participant. These may be IBV social media accounts and corporate websites under the terms of this contract. They may be other entities required by law, where applicable. They may be the entity benefiting from the study or the client who commissioned the project. The images may be shown in meetings with other project partners, with clients and with experts from the entities promoting the project to evaluate the results obtained, as well as the creation of videos and/or informative brochures, which could also be online, on other websites and on other social networks outside of the IBV.
International data transfers: The data will not be transferred internationally.
However, if the project so requires and always with the consent of the participating person, in the event of publication of an identifiable voice or image through the indicated means such as websites or social networks, the interested party is informed that such dissemination implies a communication of the published information to all third parties who access the images regardless of the place or territory from which they access them, which may not guarantee a level of data protection comparable to that established in the EU.
Data retention period: Personal data will be kept as long as the purpose of processing is in force and the interested party does not request the deletion of these, oppose the processing or revoke their consent, and for the legal periods for compliance with obligations and attention to responsibilities derived from the applicable regulations.
After the legal conservation period has elapsed or after the interested party requests the deletion of their data, they may be kept indefinitely based on the legitimate interest of the IBV in the fulfillment of the technological, innovation, scientific, and development purposes in the field of biomechanics of the IBV, after pseudonymization or anonymization, where appropriate.

Information about users
We do record your IP (Internet Protocol) data assigned to the subscriber who owns the telephone line at the time of connection to this website, for the purposes of security and collaboration with the Justice system.
